Our TLB Operator Training course for South African students. Our course is designed for students to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to operate a tractor-loaded backhoe (TLB) safely and efficiently.
A TLB is a versatile piece of heavy equipment that is commonly used in construction and mining operations. It is a combination between a tractor and backhoe. This allows it to perform a variety tasks, such as trenching, grading and digging.
Our instructors are experienced and have a wealth knowledge and experience of operating TLBs. Students will be given hands-on training using real-world situations to help them better understand the different aspects involved in operating a TLB.
The course covers many topics, including:
Safety procedures and regulations
Basic mechanics and maintenance of TLBs
Different types of tasks require different operating techniques
How to read and interpret technical drawings
Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving
We also offer additional training on specific topics, such as working in confined space and with different types soil.
We understand that safety is of the utmost importance when operating heavy machinery, and we take great care to ensure that our students are thoroughly trained in all safety procedures. They will be taught emergency procedures and emergency shutdown procedures.
We offer part-time and full-time classes to suit the schedules of students. And we also offer practical training on-site at the student's company or workplace.
Students will receive a certificate upon completion of the course that is recognized by employers within the construction and mining industries.
